Hi my loves,
I’m doing well with this daily blogging for Blogtober17, so far I’ve not fallen behind! Today the prompt is novels so it is a good excuse to update the book corner of my blog.
I love reading, I don’t get to do it as much anymore but I still love it nonetheless. From a young age I have always wanted to write a novel of my own and I often brainstorm a potential book in my head that never quite makes it to paper. One day the perfect story may make it into the world but for now, I am an just a bookworm.
Today I want to talk about the book that started it all for me. As a child, this book opened me up to the world of imagination that only a book can bring.
That book is Enid Blyton – The Magic Faraway Tree.
This copy of the book is the same one I had a child, I cherish it because it is the book that started it all for me. The one that made me fall in love with reading. I was hooked by the magic of the tree that could take 4 young children to the Land of Spells, the Land of Topsy Turvy or the land of Do-As-You-Please. Enid Blyton and her fabulous imagination sold this book to me, and the whole series that followed.
This is where I decided I wanted to be an author one day and where I fell in love with words and books. I still don’t know if I’ll ever make it as a published author, or if the book I know I want to write will ever make it out of my head and into words on a page but either way, I am a book lover and I always will be.
Are you a bookworm? What book started your love for reading?
